I saw a black SS pulled up by the media center in the infield of Pocono Raceway this past weekend. Unfortunately I had my Avalanche there, or I would have pulled up beside and taken a pic with the two SS's. And then everyone would have looked at me like I had two heads. :)

 

I should have pulled SS around to the side of my work and took a picture. We had three SS here yesterday. Silver, Flash Blue and Black. I saw them as I went for my walk around work at lunch.

Keep in mind we also have 5 other HHR's daily one is even a Shadow. Not bad for a medium size parking lot. HHR's are very popular with my co workers.

 

The planets were aligned and you didn't act on this??

 

I've owned my VR SS since June and haven't seen any other SS's on the road. I've seen/driven by several LT's AND LS's. Sadly the only other SS I've seen was an '08 Orange one at the CVS by Frost Rd. in Waterbury, but that was way before I bought mine. One might say I was influenced to buy mine since that day lol. The dealer in Waterbury has 3 SS's on the lot, 1 Silver, 1 BFM, 1 IBM all 5 speeds; 2 have the 1/2 panel (AA5? option). They had a BFM '08 for sale that I was going to buy till I saw that it was a 5speed; hence my quest for an automatic. (Long story as to why I can't drive stick...)

Sorry my keys were on the 3rd floor and I figures since he was in the retail store he would be gone before I pulled around to the south side.

He is local since he had a Doug Chevy plate frame on his car. That is the dealer I bought mine from.

The Silver one is there all the time. He works there.

I was just excited as it was the only color SS I had not seen in person. I have seen all the other colors and ever version offered in my area.

At this point I have driven about 2/3's of the colors the HHR was offered in for 08/09.
Red, Black. Silver, Orange, Vic Red, Card Red, Imp Blue and that darker slate Gray that I can not recall the color of.

I was driving home through Berlin, Mass (wide spot in the road, don't blink or you'll miss it) when I saw a Black SS in front of the store.

I had to pull up for a mini photoshoot and chat.

She was a nice lady, has 8400 miles on it in a year and had the turbo replaced on the dealer's dime because it croaked at 4K.
Her's has black/black interior and nothing playing on the radio.
Mine has grey on black and was playing Alice Cooper - "Black Juju" loudly.
Mine's faster and I'm studly but she doesn't have any speeding tickets either

 

No luck.

I just live in an area where American cars are still a majority and I watch for things like this.
