I dodged a huge bullet Friday

I was returning from a business meeting midday Friday and got pulled over by a local cop. He said I was going 67 MPH in a 50 zone, which I don't think is possible because I never drive that fast on this particular road. He took my license, registration and insurance back to his cruiser to run my info through the system. He returned to say "I'm going to let you off with a warning this time, but only because you live in this town". Needless to say I was relieved, since I had visions of my insurance rates going through the roof.

I thanked him several times and when I said "I didn't think I was going that fast" he responded by saying "maybe not, but this is a very hot and fast car". Then I said, "I know, that's why I purposely don't try and drive too fast".

In 30+ years of driving I've never been ticketed for speeding. I dodged a bullet this time. I have to be more careful to not get too excited driving the SS. It's hard to calm myself sometimes.

My 09 SS is a week old now and I cant help but get on it a bit...hehe...this car is just too fun to drive! I absolutely love this thing...more than the 07 HHR 2LT I just got rid of.
We are having a big snow storm right now here in NY and we are getting 10 inches of snow but it drove really well in the snow this morning. I am nervous about driving it in the snow.

You're lucky! Two days ago I pulled out and the car coming was quite a ways back, but it turned out it was a cop. She must have seen that I didn't have a license plate because boy did she speed up to catch up to me! I was afraid she would pull me over since the back window is so tinted, it is hard to see the temporary. Of course, I've had the real license plate on the back seat for a few days, but I just like driving around with no plate and a temp, to show off that I got a new car! Needless to say, I put the plate on when I got home.

The cop did follow me for quite some time, all the way to the county line in fact...I was getting quite nervous!
