What are you thinking? On top of the hood....in front of the radiator.......replacing one of the fog lights???
was serious. Thus the reason for me being blunt.

Everyone of those was discussed here as a solution.

My first sentence ....I see that COULD be taken as sarcasm. It was not intended as such. Put a slightly different accent on it...as a question..that's all.

I have been looking for a way to make a true CAI for this and I really believe you just won't see one, there is just no where to go with it with out modifying the car (ie. cutting stuff out of the way). But any ways why does it matter that much, the turbo is going to make it hotter than hell any ways....thats why the call has a IC

Just curious how many are running the intake in question and if they saw any improvement?
I agree that cooler air is better, but maybe this sytem flows better than the stock system... enough to more than offset the increased temp?
Is the stock system designed to keep the sound to a minumim? (ie trade performance for quite)
Just wondering?

The only way one of the CAI's would work on a Turbo car is if they help the spool up or keep the air more dense (cooler).

Boost is controlled by the computer so that won't change. The HP claim I don't know....

Cold mornings make a difference so IMO that filter needs to be in a location as cool as possible. If it's cooler then stock then maybe but they make no claims to that.

It looks *****en though.

It's interesting that the two lines track almost identically. It's also quite surprising based on some simple airflow measurements I took in the stock airbox... that seemed to indicate there was no need for additional airflow to meet the stock turbo's intake needs.

Cold air solution

Just take the red connector loose and turn the filter and pipe 180 degrees and cut a hole in the hood. BAM! cold air induction. Sorry I could not resist.

Oh by the way the K&N filter # RU 1620 will fit in the stock box with the supplied clamp. I have one on mine right now. It is slightly smaller than stock. I have not noticed any ill effects, but no big change either.

Just my opinion.

You guys get way too serious around here, loosen up.
