Joining the family :)
If you raise it up a 1/4" the axle binding will stop. TTR makes a steering rack spacer that will move the rack back up 3/8", or buy these KW coilovers from me, and the spacer, cause when I go low it binds too.
Doh! Might as well stick with the B&G's then or just go back stock but it looks soooo good sitting low.
It's not terrible but if your on a bad patch of street you know it.
I had B&G's on my Kia Soul and it rode great but i'm just guessing since these were rated for the cobalt weight it made them slightly more bouncy.

On stock springs the HHR rides and corners so well.
The problem is the standard 225 tires on the car look small and too tucked in with too much air in the wheel wells
As you see on this forum people go to simple and extrodinary fixes, even cutting out that silly rear fender well block in the rear.
I've done everything, but start hacking and lowering was the obvious choice.
I went to B&G springs (they crashed around and we're way too rough on LA streets) then back to stock. Then Ebaich prolines, which were good until they settled, then they made noise in the rear, started crashing and back to sock.
Next S+C's which for three weeks were marvelous. Very low, almost as smooth as stock, then exactly 3 weeks into it the S+C rears collapsed and it crashed around like someone had removed the springs. Right now I have Eibachs on the rear S+C on the front but the rears don't have as much drop, really not much more than stock and they make huge noise after about 30 minutes of driving so probably back to stock.
I check these forums about coil overs, different tire/wheel combos even spacers, any way to give the car a more finished look and unless I'm missing something, I have yet to hear that someone got close to the ride of stock with a look that fills the wheel wells.
If I'm wrong, I'd love to have an answer.
Thanks.
Yours is looking great!
Did you ever fix the driver's door rubbing on the side skirt?
Thanks!
I still haven't yet. I was going to take it to a buddy of mine that works at a body shop and let him look at it. I just haven't had the time. Still need to get it done sometime though.
Just a few updates since my last post since it's been a while,
First off, Sully got some new shoes. The tires where pretty much toast so I opted for some new tires/rims
18" Lovans, On Falken Pro G4's, Since then, I've also switched the B&G springs out to Powell Racing's YYZ V5's and I have new rotors and pads coming in all around that should be here next week. I also replaced a broken drivers side front door check, got the part from GMPartsdirect :)

Drats, I just noticed today today when parking that my little SS emblem I had on the front grille is messed up. The white enamel stuff has part way come off so not its just mostly chrome.
