Joining the family :)
Well crap.
Went out to go get some lunch and noticed the headliner wet on the passenger side. we had an extremely hard rain last night. Not sure where it came in from but it wasnt much. Just enough to notice it was wet but didnt see it dripping or anything and the floor wasnt wet.

IMO
Yeah I had this problem before but on both sides just a few months ago. I cleared both drain holes and nothing was clogged or ripped but they were slow to drain. It still got the headline wet. When I had the windshield replaced it hasn't leaked since and just after this storm it shows up just on the passenger side.
Ill have to rip it apart this weekend and see what I can see but this is aggravating for sure.

Got the cortex in and updated. Tune was super easy to do. Took the SS out for a spin and the biggest notciable improvement is the throttle response. Man this this is just super quick now. It's a super hot and muggy day today so Im sure a cooler less humid day would provide even better results.
Just under spirited driving I saw 250-260hp / 230+tq according to the gauge on the RPD and I hit around 17-18 PSI. Which sounds about right given my SS in this location would only hit 13psi on average
This was mostly in 1-2nd gear as well as I don't really have a long stretch available to me to get it out of the lower gears.
Transmission shifts so much smoother now as well and the car tends to idle better
I'll get some vids or something soon

It's been a couple weeks since I put on the tune from superhchips. So far it runs great and no issues to report. Throttle response is so quick now and passing folks is quick and effortless compared to the stock auto. I also noticed that the transmission shifts much smoother now as well and the shift points have changed depending on your driving.
I've gotten about a 1-2 mpg increase according to the DIC. Around 27 with Mixed Driving. That is as long as I can keep my foot off the pedal LOL.
I'm coming up on my first oil change and plan to switch to synthetic as well.
I got a small little SS emblem for the front bumper/grille and put that on. I was going to black it out like I did my door/rear ones but with the grille being black I may just leave it white so it stands out a bit more.
My room mate is moving soon so funds will be limited for a while but I do want to get the TTR Motor Mount but then after that I am not sure what's next.
I have noticed a shimmy/shake in the front end when your around 15-20 mph. I don't think its from the brakes but it started after I lowered it so need to check out and see if my wheels are out of balance maybe. I had it aligned but still need to find someone to put on the new sway bar bushings. All my clunking is gone after replacing the end links and new shocks/struts and top mounts though.
The ride is a bit bouncy so I may try a different lowering spring. I love the way the B&G's sit its just too bouncy for my taste.

Looking good.
Switching to synthetic ? It came new with Mobil 1 synthetic. Did the former owner run regular "dino" oil in it. ?
GM does recommend to use a synthetic in the 2.0's in the SS.
• GM4718M
This vehicle’s engine requires a special oil meeting
GM Standard GM4718M, such as Mobil 1® or
equivalent. Oils meeting this standard may be
identified as synthetic. However, not all synthetic oils
will meet this GM standard. Use only an oil that
meets GM Standard GM4718M.
Notice: Using oils that do not have the GM4718M
Standard designation can cause engine damage not
covered by the vehicle warranty.

I'm not sure what the previous owner used.
More than likely it was moved to regular oil as the dealer (Carmax) did an oil change on it as well when I bought it. More than likely they used bulk regular oil I'm sure. Just liked they used cheapo 87 gas in it too
