Got the suspension and wheels done late yesterday! Super happy with how it all came out.

New FE5 Struts, Moog End Links, ES Sway bushings, KYB Rear shocks with B&G Springs. Also gloss blacked the rims out with Matching blue lugs.

Wow. I really like it lowered. Right now I have to drive mine during the winter and we get some rough winters in Ontario so doubt I'll be able to lower mine for a couple of years

After a couple days now of driving around and getting my alignment I have to say it rides "ok" It is a tad on the bouncy side and the rears are making noise on angled bumps but not under normal driving)

I had to remove the isolators until I could order some more and get replacements (The foam/cork piece) as mine were not able to be saved so that may be were my noise is happening at

I did notice however that there are dead coils. I will try to get a picture tomorrow. I matched them up with the factory springs so I do hope I installed them correctly. The dead coils are at the top.

Does anyone else have the B&G's and can share an image of the rear springs installed?

Thanks!

Not B&G's, but I had a set of rear Pedders that would clunk on those angled bumps. Turned out to be the coils hitting togeather.
You might take a look and see if the paint is rubbing off the coils.
Here's what the Pedders looked like after only about 2 months.

Thanks for the pic.

I saw that thread from a while ago where everyone was talking about them. Seems like some folks said the dead coils was normal for most folks but you would run into that problem with the paint failing and springs possibly rusting.

I saw one pic where the dead coils were at the top like mine and then that one video were the dead coils were on the bottom so I'm wondering if it matters. The springs do look identical.

Under my normal route/commute their silent and it's only when you hit a funky angle to I get that clunk noise. I was just trying to make sure I got them in the right way before considering maybe getting a different set. The bounciness I think I can deal with but will need to drive on them a bit more since its only been a few days

Once again. Not B&G's, but here is the redesigned rear Pedders that I have in there now.
Just for comparison to yours. These have one less coil winding than the originals. No noise or rubbing coils, but they are more bouncey than the stock FE5's. Gonna do some experimenting on cutting down those original
FE5's and making a custom spring perch.

I've had B+G for me too much crashing on the streets of LA. Then heard Enkei was better, went that way, found them in many ways worse than B+G.

Went back to stock until I heard of SC from ZZP.

I've tried everything but Pedders, but heard mixed reviews so waited for the SC's.

Had them for two days, and haven't pushed them real hard, but tonight did a run down the pico entry to Pac 1 in Santa Monica which has the roughest whoop de do in LA and it went through them fine at speed around 60 as an M3 was trying to cut me off, no crashing. Coming back up the other exit to Ocean another rough road with a huge dip and holes and had one almost bump sound but no crash and zero bounce and if it would bounce this was the road.

Driving on the SC's in normal driving feel almost more compliant than the stock springs.

Then again it's only been two days so they haven't been really run in or probably completely settled.

So far I love them and they are the perfect drop of the car.

I'll show a better image later.

Thanks for sharing.

The popping sound has only happened a couple times. It doesnt happen on normal street driving its only if its a really sharp angle/driveway etc. It is kind bouncy though

Thanks for the pic. It looks like they match the lowness of the B&G's. I'll have to check them out.

Mines not making any more noise now that there settled in but the bounce can get rough
