Just traded my LS for an SS. Couple things wrong with it!!!

I just traded my 2008 LS with 150,000 miles and got a 2008 SS with 43,000 miles. WOW what a Power difference. I love it!!! So happy with the power and looks that i didnt inspect it all the way. Engine and suspension is GREAT. Interior Super clean. But im having radio (speaker issues). My driver and passenger pillar speakers (small tweeter speakers) work and the passenger door speaker works. But the driverside front door and both rear door speakers donot work. I have the 1 cd satellite radio. Could it be the speakers or the radio? Or both? If its the radio I would try to go with a 2009 radio and try to get the Bluetooth going. I have been reading past forums and found that its a nightmare to get but I would fork out the cash. Thats if i didnt have to change the mirror and go through all that. Also window switches are alittle weird. Got to real put pressure on them to work the back windows. Maybe water damage??? I have been on this site for awhile now but have been on it for a week straight since i got the SS. Awesome site and cant wait to hear from you guys!! Thanks

The dead speakers probably need replacement. They don't seem to last forever, and are prone to water damage. Pull them out and test them, but I suspect new ones will be in order. Use the search tool at the top of the page for info on replacing speakers, as well as what aftermarket speakers some have used.

Window switch - could be water damage - pull the switches and give them a shot of contact cleaner to see if that resolves it, else you are looking at replacing them (auto wreckers might be a cheap option for that).

Congrats on your new ride!

And "X2" to whopper's thoughts on the speakers and window switches.

Welcome to the site! Enjoy the SS! Please let us know after you dig into the speakers and the window switches are those in the door on the 08 or still in the consul in front of the shifter?
If in the door , then yea you gotta take it apart for the speakers anyways!

I recently switch from a lt to an SS...what a great move!

x3 on the speaker swap. Get a good set of pioneers and you'll be happy!

Congrats on the new ride. Window switch is easy to replace and affordable. Check your rear switches also to make sure it's not a connection issue.
