Looking at a 2008 SS - What should I watch out for?

Mileage ? Anything over 100k miles on a SS and you’re probably looking at a lot of work/parts needed or will. Sorry but most people don’t take care of cars like they should. Finding a higher mileage SS in good shape for sale,,,,rare.

I'd take a car that has mechanical issues over a rusty one, always.
Some of those codes may have been due to a bad battery.
The noise you describe might be a wheel bearing.
What size tires are on it? Does it have the stock rims? If those are in good condition, that's a big plus.
