i would raise H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS for the way you are being treated...

I'd say skip the letters to GM and talk to someone at Enterprise. Start with the manager or owner of that franchise. After that talk to someone higher up, they must have people that over see the operations of the individual franchise locations.

I don't necessarily know why a rental wasn't able to be set up right away, I've never had a problem with getting a rental vehicle as soon as mine was brought in for repairs but aside from that your beef is with Enterprise and not GM or the dealership.

Make sure you check the tires on your rental. The last time I had a vehicle from Enterprise, the vehicle they gave me had 3 different tire models on it, including one with a bald tread. This is on a RWD vehicle in the rainiest city in the USA.

I read about a guy in TX who Enterprise rented a truck to with bald tires. The bald tires caused an accident in a rainstorm and he died. When his widow won the multi-million dollar law suit against Enterprise she literally bought tread depth gages for every Enterprise employee. I don't know whether Enterprise ever distributed them, but they sure don't seem to give a crap about the tires now.

GM Corp is already on the case as a result of other (unrelated) dealer issues I've had. I did let GM Corp know about the rental experience when they called yesterday for a status check. I am currently at a different dealer, as recommended by GM Corp. I've spoken with the Service Mgr at the new dealership, and I believe he is genuinely engaged and interested in solving the specific technical issues (broken pressure-side pipe, TMPS, etc.).

Apparently 8 miles the other side of BFE. Some people refer to it as the San Francisco Bay area (see #49)

Good luck getting the pipe you need. It took me 4 weeks and 4,000 phone calls to get one.

Take the Ford down to the track and see what kind of numbers you can pull with it. Good way to practice your staging with the HHR in the shop!

The home we're leasing has a verrrry large gravel driveway area (about 1/3 acre's worth on a 2 acre lot). When my wife got home, she was surprised to see that I had parked in the middle of the "driveway." She was even more surprised at the unusual series of circular marks in said gravel. Uh... who? Me?

Best. Suggestion. Ever.

"Um yes, Enterprise? Yeah, my rental seems to have a problem. I have two flat rear tires because I ran over some debris in the road. The debris seemed to resemble a transmission. Can you fix me up with another vehicle now please?"
