I really love those shots too and had several people stop and stare at my screen today at work!
That red does just pop out at you on that shot. It is almost like the newer cameras where you can lock on one color and the rest is in black and white. That is a cool feature but my old Minolta doesn't have that.
Yes, that front plate does suck! I hate that WI requires those. Was going to pull it off for the photo and ran out of time.
