Hmm P0171 code, I don't see it mentioned here, maybe from the other thread , confusion from jumping around.
But P0171, points to a lean condition, could be exhaust leak prior to first O2 sensor, like a cracked flex pipe in the dp.
If it smooths out it might not be the turbo plumbing.

P0101. Could be clogged catalytic converter
Dirty MAF or MAP

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0101

P0106. Could be loose ground to the MAP

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0106

I'd inspect the wiring connections to the MAP and MAF

On an SS with the GM upgrade it is usually the crimp connections in the harness are faulty.

Also usual is the connector from the MAP banging into the AC.

Could be the MAP was replaced with the stock part, not the upgrade part.

Post #3, hidden in the text. I guessed at p0171.

Ok. I didn't put on my 3D glasses instead of my reading glasses!

Well. Post #1 says you have the GM upgrade. Post #10 says the dealer replaced a map sensor.
You might want to double check that they replaced it with the correct sensor.
The upgrade or GMTU as we call, involves replacing the 2 Tmap sensors to Bosch ones. They can be identified by the blue sticker on them.

They would look like the top one pictured below. There is also another one on the lower charge pipe about 3 inches from the AC compressor.

The top one is correct. I'll have to check the lower. I don't know which one they supposedly changed. Would the map sensor cause both codes? Is there a way of knowing which one is bad?

If you have something that looks like #1 in this pic you need to get an updated part. This lets the charge pipe hit the high pressure fuel pump wires. Service Campaign Bulletin #09126 for 2008-2009 HHR SS equipped with a Manual Transmission.

It should look like #3 in the second pic.

Somebody has a pic of the poorly done crimp connection. I can't find right now.

I seem to remember that sometimes the lower MAP sensor, something needs to be trimmed to fit properly. If it isn't trimmed to fit properly, you get a boost leak/vacuum leak/unmetered air issue.

Randy. You are correct. I can tell you from experience ( well, the installing tech's fault) that it will run like **** if the tab is not trimmed and the sensor pops loose.

Any how. Dug up an old pic that shows the tab that MUST be removed.
