i had the left/right issue.

 

My second armrest came in today and sure enough it is the wrong one again. The parts manager assured me he would get it straightened out.

 

my 2nd came in also. it was WRONG again. same as the last one, the inside tag was labled ARMREST DRV. its getting really lame. apparently the place where they box up the parts is hiring really ignorant people that cant read! the part number on the box is the correct number but the armrest is wrong.

 

the parts manager called and said mine finally came in, but I am traveling all week and won't be able to get it until next week. I don't have very high confidence that it will be the correct one with all of your examples.
Who knows, I might get lucky.

I wonder what they are going to do with all of those extra drivers sides :o)

 

he told me they will keep them for stock. will make it easy when i get ready to the driver side...

 

Has anyone figured out how to order the drivers side armrest. The driver seat appears to be different than the passenger in the area where the bracket mounts. I went to the dealer yesterday and looked at the diagram and we could see all of the parts mentioned on this site except for the bracket. Do the automatics get a different driver seat to facilitate having the armrest?

 

Well, I picked up my parts today at lunch and you may have guessed it..... They sent the wrong armrest. If you pull back the vinyl just below the elastic there is a label that clearly says "ARMREST DRV". I am so thankful that some of you mentioned getting the wrong part as I probably would have spent hours trying to figure out how to get that part to fit!

I gave my dealer a heads up that many on this site have had the wrong part sent in, and in some cases several times, so he said he would save the box in case he had to send it back. The box that it came in was 2.5' X 2.5' X 3", that's really a big box for such a small part!

 

i got my 3rd arm rest in today and guess what??


it was the correct part!! i was excited as hell to get home and put it on. its on now and feels really good! now that my dealer has 2 extra driver side arm rest my next project will be the driver seat arm rest.

 

dpoll995, now that you have the passengers side on, do you really think you need the drivers side? When I drive my wife's LT I tend to use the passengers side. The only time I use the drivers side is when there is a passenger using the one on their side, Other than that situation, what are your thoughts on adding the 2nd one? Over $200 seems like a lot...

 

yea i thought the pass side would be enough too. but my wife is with me most of the time and now what she tells me "get your own arm rest!" so it looks like the driver side will be coming soon. you got pricing for the driver side? $200? did you get any part numbers? im still trying to find someone to take off the driver side arm rest and shoot me some pics so i can see what it looks like.
