Ordered 2009 Panel SS
Doesn't the fact that anyone who modifies their original order, like myself, lose that lock-in on the old price? Or, was this a special circumstance, since there are so many people getting tired of waiting for Chevy to fix the problems with the RPD? Maybe the performance seat will only be standard for new orders.
just got back from the dealer to edit my order. they let us do it this week only and then after monday our orders are locked and set again.
there are some changes already.
new changes:
1) the performance drivers seat is standard
2) UUI radio is a mandatory option
3) available slide out cargo floor
4) available partition mesh
5) inside remote button for rear cargo door
6) $800+ price increase
oh, and there is not rear backup camera available yet...

according to my dealer, you are locked into the price at the time of the build, not the time of the order... who's correct???
Orders submitted up to 1 day past the date of the increase will still be billed to the dealer at the pre-increased pricing.
If you ordered before the increase, but changed the order after the increase, is another subject. I don't have an answer for that one.

(hope dealers learn how to fix it)If the USB is standard equipment will it cost me more? my order was 6/13/08
As I understand it, the contract you sign when ordering the vehicle, commits you to taking delivery and paying for it and commits the dealership to the negotiated price (per Chevy Mgr above). This is a lock regardless of changes GM might make to the option list. Applies to the deal between you and the Dealership and likewise (I believe) between the Dealership and GM.
