i just checked tonight. i still don't have any confirmed TPW. i didn't see anything about January 23th build targets. my friend that runs the dealership wasn't there tonight and i had to use another guys login. he doesn't have full access to the system.

i will check again monday when the general manager friend of mine gets back. i have a feeling you're right about this latest delay, but last week when i checked it clearly stated in yellow highlights "less than 4 weeks".

I'll check with my dealer and see what he says (probably tomorrow). GM is saying they are extending their holiday vacation, from Dec 23, through Jan 20th. So if the Dec 2nd test date, that Tingle provided, fails, that would be the next logical date.

New build date??

GM seems to be having its share of economy difficulties and as well, this particular build may not be a priority. They apparently cannot or will not get the back up camera to work with a 5 speed and the UAF may present a similar difficulty. At any rate, I am sticking it out and hoping for American ingenuity.

Well my dealer said 1/26/09 build week. Brian Brown with GM said 12/2/08 the test is still good and 12/09/08 build week There are real good deals out there but this is the only panel... this has been a long wait I have already got the performance seats and I might get a usb port at no extra cost jus have to wait longer... I might get a book deal

all I can say is Shiot

Build delay

It is a good thing that you are getting some consolation offers. Freedom Chevrolet here is encouraging to drop the display - probably so they can make a November or December sale. I am sticking with it until they say they will not build that configuration. Hurst had a good idea with the Challenger but it will cramp my Macaws.

i just checked again tonight. i still only see a december 8th target week. but i can easily see that changing to jan 26th and then i can see GM dropping the option all together.

i have my 2009 challenger brochure for plan B

That seems a possibility with all GM has in the mix. Sounds like your might lean toward the Challenger. I had a 1970 Hemi Charger once upon a time. The new one's still make 425 HP with newer technology without the 426 cubic inches.

Well, the dealer came back to me with a Jan 26th date as well. Been thinking about the 12/2 test. Unless they make a few at the time of the test, there is production time involved to delay it. So they might be able to make so many before the vacation.

Curious to see what happens in a week.
