last week, i talked my local dealer into ordering another SS. they ordered a regular SS with auto and the UAF option. that build week is set at 9/29/08. there doesn't seem to be any delays for the UAF with the automatic transmissions.

i agree it must be an issue with the parameters of the shift light functions within the UAF display. i guess the automatics with the UAF don't have this feature?

Cool I've had a little time to cool off,

But I swear, if my SS does not start to happen on the week of 20 October as my dealer is telling me now, I just might go for an LT and mod from there. If it weren't for the $500 in mods I already have at the house for the SS, I'd be long gone by now. That plus the $500 deposit to order it. Good thing this is only to be a second ride for me and I don't really need it in a hurry. Maybe, since I'm in SoCal, I just might see it on Halloween??? Then I could call it the blue pumpkin.

Ordered mine in July (no RPD) and just now got a build date of Oct 6th. Had emailed the dealer and booked an appointment to go in tomorrow to cancel my order and today got this update. Timing is a little suspicious but I am visiting them tomorrow and hope they can validate that information, live on their system.

Does anyone know what GM information they get along the way? I'm anticipating:
- Vehicle Ordered!
- Vehicle Build Date (TBW)!
and guessing on the next two
- Vehicle BUILT
- Vehicle IN-TRANSIT
Are these twos valid? Is there anything else prior to actual arrivial? I'm at the TBW stage and want to know what next to ask from my Dealer.

Ordered an 09 SS Panel, 5-spd, full equipped, except for the RPD which isn't available this side of the border.

TBW is Oct 6th.

Yes, the performance package, sun and sound package, driver seat absolutely fully loaded except the RDP as mentioned and the reverse camera. Only possible "ugh" option, but I needed them, is the roof racks. Might look to paint them colour keyed to the car, making them a little less noticable.
