I just stopped by the dealer earlier this week, original build was 9/22, now extended to 10/18. RPD has been posted to their bulletin as cause for delay. Curious to see if everyone else is the same.

Think they'll just end up building a bunch of SS's for one week?

 

I dont get it. I have seen at least 3 Cobalt SS's at dealers with the RPD in them. Why would there be a hold on the HHR??

 

I might be mistaken but doesnt the cobalt have their's in the A-pillar?. If that's the case, perhaps GM is having difficulties with the HHR's unit that is to go in the center dash?

 

Yes the Cobalt has it on the A-pillar, but its the same display just mounted different so I dont see how the hold up could be the screen.

 

Unless they are having problems molding the mount?

 

All Canadian orders are being stalled and my suspicion is it is related to the brake problem prevalent in the automatic SS. Either GM Canada or more likely the Canadian government is preventing the import of the vehicle till this problem is fixed. Are there 09 SS, without the RPD available in the US? The option isn't available for Canada and therefore can not be attributed to the delays for vehicles destined for the north.

 

yes there are at least 50 2009 SS's within 500 miles of me. none of them have the RPD.

 

i ordered my ss panel with the UAF display on 07/12/08. the TPW was pushed back twice so far and currently is set for 09/29/08. it wouldn't surprise me if they delay it again.

 

As far as I know my build is still supposed to happen the week of 22 Sept. Haven't heard anything from my dealer as to any more delays. But then again, he doesn't tell me much to begin with. I have been the one telling him about the problems.
