Parts interchangeability

One of the big advantages of there being a performance version of any vehicle is that there's a catalog of parts that offer ready upgrades with OE parts. Is there any information about what does fit the poor siblings?
I'd assume that the springs/shocks/anti-roll bars will just bolt on. How about the Brembo calipers? I'm assuming that the stock SS calipers are the same as the base models, since the rotors are the same size.
Other things I'm interested in - the side skirts (I'm starting to get some gritblasting of the rear doors despite the truck mudflaps). The shifter (different bushings mentioned in https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/hhr-ss-45/nice-hhr-ss-review-road-track-13129/ ), I've cut down my shifter, which helps, but it's still pretty vague. May need the console to make it fit though. The steering rack, the ratio on the standard version is starting to annoy me.

Any idea how much smaller the steering wheel is than the standard part? Looks like it uses the same airbag assembly and cruise/audio controls.

Cool ground effects

I was looking at the SS next to a LS HHR at the Chicago Auto Show, and it looks like the ground effects on the side of the SS should be a direct bolt-on replacement for the running boards. I am thinking of replacing the running boards on my 2LT with the rocker panel ground effects on the SS. Has anyone else thought of doing this mod or have any idea what these pieces would cost? I am guessing you could get those 2 pieces for around $500.

Bet it's more like $1000......and then of, course, the paint.

No replacement part, specific to the SS, is cheap to replace.

It is believed that the Shadow Edition HHR is equipped this way though we have no pictures yet to prove it.
