Just a quick question, is the part number above for the passenger side or the driver? or are they both the same? I'd like to change both of my LT seat bottoms.
Thanks and nice seats.

Good luck. I tried ordering parts from GMPARTSDIRECT and while they could get the foam, the seat cover was on national backorder with no estimated delivery.

These are the only Recaro seats to ever have been laid in a Cobalt. The others, though they appear to be performance seats, are NOT Recaros.

These are GMPP seats.

The HHR SS seats are not Recaros.

The seat covers and foam are different on the seat bottoms.

I tried to order the drivers side and it was not available to me without buying the entire unit per the dealer I tried. Not sure if they were just passing this off on me.

I did use the part numbers in this thread to order the passenger side. The Performance tag is on the wrong side and the foam does not have the rear rod to hog ring the back of the cover too.

I used interior trim spray to keep the foam and cover together in the rear. It worked fine and nearly 3 years later it looks good as new. Unless I point out the differences no one knows I made the change.

As for ordering today I can't tell you if you can or not. When I got mine it too k two weeks. I ordered through my work and a dealer we work with. I did it really really cheap.

The easy thing to do today is go through a national salvage recycler. These guys get this stuff in often and will sell one seat. Most are resonable.

Also have you ever recovered car seats. It is not hard but you do need to know a few tricks to do it right. Also you need Hog Rings and Hog Ring Plyers.

Mine took an hour from start to finish including the adjustmenst I made.

Oh I also had to remove the side over cover and sew it on the other side near the seat belt buckle. It was on the worng side. Again no one can tell it was moved.

Well, it appears they may be in. My backordered parts from GMPARTSDIRECT were said to have shipped. We will see!
