Thanks guys. Y'all are awesome.

And yes, a tune is on the short list. I gotta recoup a bit from the initial purchase though...

I'm still amazed that we can free up so much power with just a computer mod... Stupid GM engineers and their warranties...

Didn't want to deal with another manual

It would've been great if I had another car to drive on long trips with others occasionally driving it on the aforementioned trips, but since I don't...

That and I got a pretty good deal on the auto. All the manuals I saw had something that kept me from buying them (high miles, high price, looked like crap, etc).

I'm just glad I'm in an hhr ss regardless of the transmission choice (although I will say the automatic could've been better... Like paddle shifters and more gears better).

I don't regret my 2008 1LT Shadow Edition with a Manual.. Surprised the hell out of some drivers with the Zip my Stiglitz has. Took down a Ram 1500 with a manual and a CIA....

Naa... a quick , easy , & simple "tune" , from CJ , ZZP , ect , for around $150 ,
will "fix" the problem , & pay for itself , in just 1 year , thru increased engine efficiency...
Also, you will able to beat any 5 speed HHR SS , turn high 13's in the quarter
mile , & put a grin on your face, from ear-to-ear...

Check your jurisdiction's smog laws. California recently passed a law that tuned ECMs are an automatic fail. That being said, my tune passed, tuned before the law went into effect, so maybe grandfathered. Don't know what laws say in Texas.

For future reference, in response to the OP question, I didn’t see it mentioned here that the RPD does not show vacuum, only boost. This is different from the pillar gauge, which also shows vacuum.
