"Bzerked" Thanks for the Info about having to build the parts for 10 years. That's a little conforting as I might need one. Yea I figured the part suppliers were going to operate on a COD basis.

Good Luck with your chat hope it works out.

Well it looks like mine is going into the dealer next week. It ran good all day and tonight no matter what I do it won't boost more than 4.6 lbs. It's thrown the p0236 code and it making a scrapping sound when you let off the throttle quick when it's at 4.6 lbs boost. Just Great!

Keep in mind too this engine will find its way into many other GM cars soon. The Buick Lacrosse will see it next year as well as some other cars. Bob Lutz loves this engine and will make good use of it. THis will only keep the supply of parts coming.

I can get almost any part needed for my Fiero since most of the parts were used in other GM cars. Most HHR parts were shared with other Delta platform cars. So with the extention of the engine we should have parts avaiable as long as your SS is road worthy.

Today the Chapter 11 is over and the new GM should get stronger soon. There is a lot going and for once it is in the right direction.

Last week the dealer called and told me I would'nt see it that week either. So the following day the dealer calls out of the blue... your car is ready. Amazed I drove up there and behold my ride. Come to find out that the turbo bearing spun in the housing and drove the intake impeller right into the main housing (hence the grinding). All Intercooler tubes were replaced and the intercooler was cleaned of impeller bits. I do have a concern about some of the frags geting into the crank case, but they said if it pukes to bring it back. The new unit does have more of a whistle when it spools so that is pretty cool. It seems I lost a pound of boost, but at this point I am mobile again, so I am done *****ing for a while. The guy at the rental desk almost passed out that I slammed 2,500 miles on the loaner... LOL

Good the hear!

I thought by what you discribed it sounded like a bearing. That is not a common thing anymore but like anything else you get one now and then.

Glad to hear you are on the road.
