We have the GM Performance Division seat in our 2008 SS. I can't see much difference at all between it and the passenger standard seat. Yes, it looks different but the seat bolster isn't much higher and I can't imagine anyone paying that much money for one.

Dooscoop32.
Resurrecting a 6 year old thread ?
The 2010's came with both seats as the performance ones, so no extra money spent for that years SS.

Yep, resurrecting it. For two reasons:

1-I've only been on this site for 7 months so it's not that old to me.

2-AND, I've never gotten a decent reply to my questions about that seat yet.

Carry on!

Ok. Understood.
The problem with resurrecting real old threads is, most of those old members in that thread haven't been on this site recently. Hard to get any feedback from those folks.
As far as an answer to your question, I didn't see one in your post above. Only a statement about your seat differences(or lack of bolster differences).
If you posted a question elsewhere, sorry but I missed it. If you posted one at the end of another old thread, that may be the reason for no answers.

Sorry I can't help you out with seat info since both my fronts are the Performance ones.

When I was shopping for my SS I wanted to make sure I got one with both performance seats. my OCD wouldn't allow 2 different seats. lol

From what i researched and found the only difference is the side and front leg bolster. The backs are the same

Im actually quite interested in this, I would love to get my hands on some for my ride. I love the look of the light grey/black SS performance seats.
The issue for me is the front bolster, it looks like it may be more comfortable for someone with longer legs and a more rearward seating position. With the base seats I find my circulation gets a little restricted near my knees on a long drive.

I've thought the same, I'm 6'5" and the longer bottom cushion would help on the long drives.
It's hard to find a set of SS seats up here.

I have them both, I find they are both far more comfortable than the new Tahoe I rented to go over the mountians. The Performance seat is more comfortable......butt......the 2lt is heated.................

Im 6'3" myself and it's mostly leg. My seats are just about all the way back and the front bolster is raised thanks to the power seat. It's pretty comfy for long drives
