removed intake lid

removed intake lid

Will this hurt anything? Sounds cooler

You're not going to hurt anything, but you are negating the charge cooling done by the intercooler, with the lid off you're drawing in hotter under-hood air. Here's a thread on it.....

Sounds cool to some. It isn't negating the intercooler when you are moving. I saw about 9* difference. Might want it on when it is hotter than sin out, though.

As mentioned above lid off and hot out and city driving I think would be your worst enemy here.
So who is going to be the first to take the lid off cut a hole in the Hood and put a scoop on?
