Like most folks, I really don't like the gold bowties. I used the 3M stuff and then clear coated. That really helped. It doesn't look too bad next to the real carbon plate frames.

The antennae looks good and gets surprisingly good reception, even when closed.

Plate frames. The front was a PITA since the curved lip of the plastic bracket that come on the car pushed the frame all out of whack. The top would be tight, but the bottom stuck way out. I used a hacksaw blade and trimmed the edges of the plastic bracket to fit, then used 3M double sided adhesive tape to hold the bottom of the frame to the plate.

Next up, GMTU, carbon dash kit, and...maybe hydro dipped air box and fuse covers.

Got the GMTU installed today. Nice! That, in conjunction with the TTR sway bar, motor mount, K&N filter, CGS axle-back exhaust and CG Lock will get me through a lot of corners this summer. Now I just need some time to work on the cosmetic stuff, Sherwood carbon dash kit, etc. I'm really happy with my daily driver. My wife is just happy I bought a family car. ;-)

Got the dash in this weekend. Not a perfect install, but I think it looks better than the old plastic waterfall.

I should do this - mine is all destroyed already. Same thing happened to my Avalanche bowtie after a few years.

I think with the carbon vinyl you just have to accept it's only going to last so long. It's easy and cheap enough to redo anytime.
