Yeah, you have to change a rear tire first, then put the good rear tire up front. Bigger calipers or some such.

That is true the spare only fits on the back of a ss model and illinois will reimburse you half but thats if your married to someone on the tollway board or something. pretty much wrote it off. Oh well that will show me for driving in the middle lane and paying attention after seeing 15 cars on the side fixing flats. pretty funny the lady trooper asked if i was ok and then said your the 8th one here since she got on shift with a flat!

How can you prove you hit a pothole on a state highway?

Also, I hope when I get a flat it is on the back, because having to make two tire changes on the side of the road is going to be a ***** and a half.

Hey at least it happened before the temps dropped last night. I REALLY wouldn't want to be outside changing a tire for the rest of this week... Highs will be between 0-14 for the rest of the week, and more snow!

The spare does fit the front on a regular HHR, been there done that. I agree that it should be in the rear due to how LOW the front end was after putting the spare on. I also agree that removing two tire/wheel assemblies is a PIA.

Rod Blago, spent most of that fund trying to sell the Senate seat, the remaining portion went to his legal defence, for his corruption trial!

BTW sucks about the flat . . . I am scared to drive my cars on IL roads, so my full sized truck is out and about the most.

Yeah Chicago roads get worse and worse every winter. Its like a slalom course trying to get aroung pot holes. I blew out a tire on my SS earlier this year and slightly chipped the rim but its holding air. And about the reimbursement I got one last year when I blew a tire out on my civic. I waited about 6 months to get the refund though.
