That was the FIRST thing I did. I have a 2004 GTO and the SS is a bit cheaper so I'm good to go there. Turns out the 2LT isn't much lower at all. Of course being 56 .....

I didn't find the 2.4 grating at all. I did notice the LNF did seem a bit smoother in an undefined and indescribable way. The 2.4L reminded me of my son's Quad 4 Z24. I like that sound.

Other than the seats and power window switches, I don't think the SS interior is any different than an LT or LS.
I agree. The interior panels are all the same so I was perplexed. The wife wants me to get the SS. At the same time she complains about the ride quality of my Fiero with Eibach's, Gabriels and 205-55/16 tires so I suspect the SS might draw the same "response". I am undecided.

No panel for me. There are two LS panels available but I want the windows. The SS panels are all gone.

I had a Grand National so I know where the turbo LNF will lead. That part itself doesn't worry me but the first changes I would make is to put a screen over the AC condenser and intercooler. They look like they are ripe for damage. My real concern on the LNF is the direct injection. The long term reliability is still an open question in my mind.

I plan on keeping this car for a long time and while the SS is faster, the few times I ever used the fast pedal on the GN or the GTO doesn't compel me to get the SS just so I have the occasional "fast".

I went back and drove the SS's again. We found the rattles. One was the security key box on the window (do I feel stupid) and the other was some stuff in the glove box.

The wife drove it and pretty much said "SS or nothing".

I my mind is made up. Yep, I rule the castle around here!

I like the SS in Silver, they have that semi "sleeper" look, plus the black accents stand out in the front IMO. Best of luck!
