ESC is not a spool but it is better than and open diff

ESC also integrates all-speed traction control which senses drive-wheel slip under acceleration and individually brakes the slipping wheel or wheels, and/or reduces excess engine power until control is regained.

What does ESC have to do with this 2-1/2 year old thread about limited slip differentials?

It has to do with ESC applying the brake on the tire that is slipping, sending the torque to the tire with traction, meaning a sort of electronic limited slip. And both tires pulling on a non-lsd differential is where this thread ended up.

Right, but the esc has nothing to do with both front tires spinning/pulling. With the auto trans, both front tires would still spin even with ESC turned off.
