1st post said he originally had a “knocking” noise from the area of the HPFP. If the new HPFP cured the noise then the old pump may have been about to die.
I wouldn’t advise trying to sell a questionable used part.

The HPFP makes quite a racket, especially if the sound insulator is absent. The problem was the sensor, and it's not apparent from the thread that the sound went away with the new HPFP. I'd buy the used part.

I’m definitely noticing better gas mileage. Currently at 27.5!!! Possibly smoother acceleration but that could just be a placebo effect. I did notice when I removed the original HPFP it came off, fairly easily with no tension on it. When I installed the new one, apparently the cam was not at bottom, dead center so I had to apply quite a bit of pressure to compress the spring to tighten it to the block. Don’t know if this could mean the original fuel pump was weak? I would feel bad about selling a used part that might leave someone stranded.
