Possible fuel pump issue
While driving yesterday the car lost acceleration but still had power. No codes were given. Going to try and test fuel pump pressure but it won't start. Tries to turn over and can hear pump run but won't fire.
It is a 2009 SS. Has had fuel line freeze up a few years back..
Just ran pressure test
Started at 64 lost 6lbs after 5 minutes

How did you narrow it down to a fuel pressure issue or are you just guessing ?
Anyhow. 64 psi from the in tank pump, correct ? That's within the specs but you need to check the secondary high pressure fuel pump (HPFP). The cam driven one located at the end of the valve cover. It runs as high as 2200 psi. at a cold start down to 350 or so at warm idle.

We are just guessing at this point. How would you check that? There is gas making it to the plugs and there is spark from the plugs. Car turns over but won't start. Thinking might be a sensor somewhere...

If you have an SS on the center on the dash you can see HPFP (high pressure fuel pressure).
If it doesn't start and you say you have fuel and spark the only thing left is air to the engine.
How to you know gas is making to the cylinders being it's direct injection ?
Take it to a shop. Honestly you are not inclined to fix this problem.
Sorry to be so blunt.

Ok lets start over there seems to be alittle misunderstanding here. My daughter was driving the car and had just gotten of the expressway and after a stop when she tried to accelerate she said the car was going slow and didn't want to speed up. It still had electrical power but we are assuming the engine stalled because she said the brakes were hard to push down. No codes are showing and it will not start. We were thinking fuel pump because of the sudden way the engine died.
