I would recommend doing this yourself and saving some money. It's very easy to do. The only problem to arise from DIYing it is the tensioner can come apart inside the engine while removing. It's usually not a problem if you've got a good stick magnet. My SS had 138k when I tried doing mine, the noise only got worse so I pulled the engine and trans. Nothing broke while removing it, it came out in one piece with a lot of wiggling. As ol blue said you only need a 32mm socket. I can't belive he has one 3/8 drive!
I would recommend removing the plastic valence over the firewall, it's much easier to work right there with that out of the way. Remove 2 wiper arms (15mm) and 4 screws(7mm) holding it in place. Then you can really see what you're doing.

Well I appreciate that but that isn't possible now. First, I'm not particularly good at doing mechanical repairs because I usually lose my temper when things go wrong and they usually seem to do that. But the main thing is that I had surgery in April of this year and am still unable to do a lot of strenuous things. And I have to go back to the surgeon next week. They plan to do a follow-up surgery on me if everything is OK to do it. So, it's just best for me to have someone else do it. I have been checking with several friends about independent garages in our area. But for every shop that sounds good, another person tells me that one is no good. It is very aggravating.

As everyone stated its simple. I used the same socket for the oil filter. If you take off the tr8m around the wipers it then becomes super easy. Just did it this past weekend. The cloyes part is 53 bucks at oreillys. You will know the new style because it has a sl8ght raise on the top. The old style is flat. I just dont see paying almost 900 bucks for a 45 minute job. Thats with tak8ng the valve cover and trim off. But hope ya get it taken care of.
