According to my info, the SS manual and the SS auto have different final ratios.
Manual is 4:05
Auto is 3:92
Seems at same rpm the auto should top out a little faster, with or without a tune. Final gear determinds top speed at certain rpm, when HP[torque] is the same. "Moon"

Either way...top speed will be limited by rpm and gears...if you have the power to push it.
i dont see a difference adding the GM tune....though the redline is notched up a tad..

It's not the speed it self that makes me nervous, it's the potential ticket/fines that scare me.

I'm with you. I need my license for the job. That being said here's what I've seen on the bike (in a controlled environment, of course)

Are you certain the 155 is due to gearing??? I've had mine well over 140 with quite a bit of tach left so I assumed the 155 is computer controlled???

Edit: Just ran a couple calculators using a 4.05 axle and 0.70 5th gear and it shows 190'ish at 7000 rpm.....Not sure if the 0.70 5th gear ratio is right though. Anyways.....155 not due to our gears:) And the way mine pulled to 140+.....I don't think it's drag either...LOL. And on another note (as someone also mentioned earlier) the SS is rediculously smooth at high speed.

When I was driving through Texas back to VA I had the speedo buried at 140 so I don't now exactly how fast.

Km/H. I was being a smart ass. The 149 was on the bike and that was mph.

It's tough to get up to anything over 100 MPH here in NJ. And if you get caught, you are going to pay a fortune in increased insurance and fines.
