Question Turbo Upgrade Install Dealer recommendation DC/Balt area?

Members,

I have ordered the 19212670 - Turbocharged engine power upgrade kit
for my recently pre-owned purchase of a 2010 HHS SS. Prior to its arrival I'm requesting any member recommendations for a good dealer service department that is knowledgeable and priced accordingly/fairly for the installation in the DC/Balt (or Norther VA) areas.

I have purchased a few vehicles from Sport Chevy in Silver Spring, MD. The salesman I deal with is excellent and I always received a great deal, however the service department in my experience is dreadful.
From the service managers to the mechanics/technicians I have had issues. Enough to where I will never have any vehicle serviced at Sport Chevy.

Any dealer service recommendation is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for all replies!

I can't recommend a dealer but can give a little advice.

Along with the GMTU kit, you should also consider getting the plug-n-play harness that is available for the installation. This harness is an updated piece that eliminates the need to cut/splice the older versions of the GMTU. There are seperate wiring harness' for the upper and lower T-map connections.
Some of the early versions had problems with the splicing being done substandard.
If you do a search here for the GMTU or Stage 1 upgrade, there are numerous threads on the subject. Get familiar with all the info so you'll know what's involved.

Welcome to the site and the SS. I would think about just skipping the kit and use an aftermarket tune.

I would agree if an after market tune did not void the warranty. The GM/Chevy dealer installed kit does not void the 5yr/100k drive train warranty. I also have an extended warranty that the the GM/Chevy dealer installed kit would not void.

Thanks for the recommendation. Where can I purchase the harness and do you have a part number?

Sorry thought we were all getting close to 100K. Even with the plugNplay harness you will need to keep the lower sensor from rubbing. There are a few ways to do it, but it is a must or it will rub. My dealer made this and it works.
