i mean if you were hard core racing and trying to squeeze every ounce of power out of this motor you will want to do something different, but ya. you're not going to notice anything, some of you guys are being a little technical, a 10 degree increase of intake temp isnt much of a difference

 

Always run mine with lid off as well. No problems here. Sounds awesome but isolation of the filter is best.
