Well my first problem with the SS.

Well I had the car a day and one of the tire monitors crapped out on me . This is why I hate tire monitors and I wish I could have got the car without it. But at least its a simple fix.

If people had learned how to take care of their tires the darn gov't wouldn't of had to step in and mandate this sensor. People causing accidents which were caused by low tire pressure and this is the results. Need to eliminate people that can't drive and do simple checks on their cars before driving them.

I couldnt agree with you more ano8 I check my tire pressure every time I fill up. It takes me maybe 2 min and what it might take 3-5 min to fill up a tank.

um...i don't think the american and canadian govt's are mandating tire pressure monitors because of potential car crashes. I read it is because they have been informed that improperly inflated tires lead to poorer gas mileage. I think we will be seeing all sort of ''good ideas'' coming down on us as the price of oil sky rockets. Just like enviromental taxes on batteries, old tires, plastic water bottles, etc. The damage has been done and we will all be paying all sorts of taxes to try and pretend we can reverse it somehow.

For Some Reason, The Left Rear Is Almost Always Lower Than The Other 3. I Even Put A Lil More In There To Compensate. But 2 Days Later, Same Thing ! Must Be The Tire.

Just a note: those kinda cheap looking valve stem caps; don't replace them with something else. They are actually the antenna for the sensor, and using something else can cause problems with the readings.

Blame Ford for the sensors, their calling for the low pressure 26 lb in the tires, and the failure of the Firestone tires causing rollovers, was the cause of the Congressional legislation. I kinda like it though, makes you aware of just how much the pressure changes with outdoor air temps, and whether the tires are cold or hot from driving.
Plus a quick notification of a tire leak, cause be honest: who checks tire pressure every day, and low profile tires can look ok with just 10 lbs in them.

I put aftermarket valve caps on mine a day or two after getting it and have had no issues with the tire monitors. I've had it for nearly 2 months and 2,700+ miles .

It could only require a recalibration of the tire pressure senor monitoring system. You could do that yourself if you have a way to put air back into the tires.
