I definitely have rust on my rotors because sometimes I don't drive my hhr for 2 weeks. The most it gets driven is probably once a week. But I had to replace a front ball joint and they were ones said it needed brakes and rotors.

Oldblue said it. The control arms come with ball joints and the bushings. Your bushings are most likely dead. They are difficult to see, mine was aligned about a hundred miles before they completely broke.

I have been wanting to but a new ball joint in the other side because I wanted the moog ballpoint in each side. I was goofy a just didn't order 2 but now thinking that more of the problem then the rotors and brakes alone

NOT JUST THE BALL JOINT!

Ball joints rarely fail.
