There isnt even a cigarette lighter for smokers. You gotta buy the plugin from the aftermarket. This is becoming std on new cars now and charging for the option. I dont smoke, but think it's kinda #$@#$ if you ask me.

I can see why they carge $40 for that option...they sell the ash tray alone for like $26

crazy

mine came with an un-used lighter, but no ashtray...I am a smoker...I learned to adapt with my own add-in cup holder thingy, and one of those portable ash trays with a lid.

BTW...whoever pointed out about the sunvisors sliding on the shaft... YOU RULE. I had no idea...must have missed that in my manual. It was no biggie to me, but now I am stoked with that tid-bit, so thanks.

also...the SEEK on the steering wheel controls by holding down the UP or DOWN arrow...

sweet. thank you too.

this is all non-SS stuff, but saw it posted, so thought I'd respond.

you guys rule.

I think other then what is posted here, the only thing I would add is that when I am the first car and I pull up to a light, I have to lean forward to see it. Not a biggie...

I did find this and might try it...

06 LT1 2.4 auto. Happiest 38K miles ever driven by this olwrench. If steercolumn didn,t rattle & road reverbs were less (even after exstensive soundproofing) I would have the perfect fit.
Ordered an SS primarily for suspension & brakes, wasn,t impressed enough to take it. Didn,t feel like I had full control .Kept my old one, bodycolored all the bright work, adding more sounddeadener. anyone w/noise reduction successes? I filled the holes (top & bottom) in door sills.

Really, (I mean REALLY) love this car!

If I could find any faults I would also cite the out of position cup holders, lack of adjustable map lights, and visors that are too short. Even with them sliding out they are a few inches short of ful coverage on my commute home!

I gotta go, my SS is calling me to hit the road!

no real complaints here, and i'm going to have to disagree with the cupholder complaint. i find them to actually be great. it took me a little bit to get used to their location, but then again this is the first thing i've owned with cupholders so...lol. but any cup i put in them, they try to tip over, and just lean on my seat, never spilling. i only have an issue with them when i order a big drink from fast food, the cups that are narrow at the bottom for cup holders then get real big up top, the top of the cup is in the way of the e-brake, so i just hold the brake with my foot while at the drive thru haha.

as far as the seek function on the wheel by holding the arrows, anyone have any idea why mine won't do it? it just starts skipping through tracks really fast, like as if i were just pressing it rapidly.

No Bluetooth!

Which kind of pisses me off cause its coming for 09.

*edit* ok apparently bluetooth is a rumour for 09, but I still want it, cause I wont be using that On Star phone cause its too bloody expensive. 50 bucks for 100 minutes!!! O.o way too much.

The seats....I traded a cobalt SS with the Recaro's and the performance seat is ok but now were near as nice as the recaro....and my girlfriend (6'2") does not like the fact that the pass seat does not go back farther. Other than that all good,
