What will be your first plans for your SS?
Me:
See about lowering it, the wheel gap puts me off a bit
Shaving the emblems (back) but leave the SS
Maybe tinting the tails and headlights, always wanted to do this to a black car
O yeah, and drive the "blank" out of it
Of course this may change after seeing the production model? My Colorado Xtreme was almost exact from the pre production model.

I hope to get one this spring... and when I do I will prolly replace the exhaust, we'll see what's available at that time. I sure love my Borla exhaust on my 98 Z28, it sure gave my Camaro an extra jolt of power.
im riding the fence between auto and manual. I'm about done with my six speed, mashing the clutch up and down in traffic is a drag. If I get the 5 speed on the HHR SS, I'll prolly look into aftermarket shifters as well. The stock one on the Z is a real POS. I replaced that one with a Pro 5.0.
Im not a real modding kind of guy, so I'll keep it relatively stock. Lowering springs may be a possibility. GM tends to spring their vehicles kinda high.

What's the point in changing out a suspension that's already been tuned at Nurburgring to .90g?

because anything tuned by a major manufacturer will still be tuned for a large number of people... not saying it isn't a vast improvement over the standard stuff, but you can always improve on oem stuff...
