wheel hub-to-knuckle spacer

wheel hub-to-knuckle spacer
Hi all - new to the forum, glad to be here, such a wealth of info!
2010 SS 5-speed, Brembo front brakes, 102K miles - got the dreaded LF wheel bearing growl, so went to replace the bearing, hoping I was going to be able to get it separated from the knuckle and save the "hub spacer" which GM no longer makes - anyone know where this spacer can be purchased? I've searched high and low through aftermarket, can't find. I am wondering if we can just use the brake shield that was the subject of the GM service bulletin for non-SS HHR's from 2006-2008 I believe? Would this shield act as the proper width spacer, or perhaps I could just cut it to fit if the "shield" portion somehow does not clear parts of the Brembo assembly?
I am not going to be able to save the original spacers because the hub is seized, and I mean seized, onto the knuckle - I'm just gonna replace the knuckle as well.
Thanks for any input!
Jim

I think the "spacer" you are talking about is the brake shield that you refer to. Not really a spacer its a watershield. It just sits between the hub and knuckle, I don't know how you could damage it unless you trying to pry.
Lots of your favorite corrosion fighter and a slide hammer should do it. If not take the knuckle off and press it out.

The hub spacer comes in this kit from ZZP, I don’t believe they sell them separately

...hmmm...I appear to be completely out of luck finding this spacer sold alone - I assume my only options are to have one made (anyone know the thickness?) or does anyone know if the brake shield from the non-SS non-Brembo brake could be fitted on the Brembo-equipped hub/knuckle? The spacing of the three mounting bolt holes should be the same I would think, so it would just be a matter of the thickness and the diameter of the piece.
Many thanks for such quick responses,

I'm not sure if I'll get the old spacers off intact but will try to measure them before removal of the hub, which I have to have someone else do - I tried several nights this week with PB Blaster, larger hammers, slide-hammer, etc. and no movement at all - I have in-and-out movement of the axle shaft so that's not seized, but the hub-to-knuckle surfaces must be fused.
I emailed ZZP to see if by any chance they'd sell me just the spacers - I made a plea to them!
