Unhappy Wheres The Power

I went to test drive an SS ,A Black one ,it was nice .
Well while test driving her,she had great take off, but I noticed that when ever I was at about 55 to 65 to 70 mph and I hit the gas it did'nt do anything
,no passing gear no nothing. Did I drive a deffected one? or is that the way
turbos are? I was more impressed with are 08 HHR with a 2.4 High Output.
I hit the gas at any speed & passing gear kicks in and off I go. The SS did not do that.
Has any one else experience this problem?
Needless to say it kept me from buying it & Why did'nt they turbo the 2.2 or the 2.4?

Did you manually shift it?

Did you try to give it more gas? JK

There might have been something wrong with the SS you drove, because there is no way a non-turbo'ed HHR would perform as well as the manual SS I do have. Even the Auto that I test drove was very nicely peppy.

I say go test drive another at a different dealership...

My 2 cents, anyway.

Oh, yeah, you didn't know?... That's so you can get better gas mileage. The switch is located right next to the Flux Capacitor....

Sometimes you have to move the muffler bearing to reach the switch. Chevy really kicked the pooch with the switch placement.
