Poor Guy's never going to get a straight answer

Can someone chime in here? I thought I read somewhere that the boost was limited during the breakin period...but what's he's describing sounds worse than that.

Close, I think more B2TF better fits it...

The turbo switch is just to the left...

...And if you can find the turbo on a Delorean you get extra credit...

...Or at least 88 MPH.

Seriously, I am not sure about the power issue. My SS has 1600 miles on it and it performs as it did with 500 on it.

Not sure what would cause this unless someone else broke it during a test drive before you got there...

I have the auto and when doing 65-70 and press down on the pedal the HHR does throw me back and go.

The dealer probably gave you the training/teen key by mistake. When using the training key the car is put in a mode that makes less experienced drivers safer. Go back and tell the sales guy you want another test ride but this time you want the pro key! And don't take no for an answer!

They might deny it at first but us owners know that there are such keys.

No there isn't, how would they sell a performance car if the test drive was limited in response? There is no special boost limit during break in either.

The one car that did have a performance limiting key was the 90-95 Corvette ZR1 and it was an extra valet key that went in the console switch. More a gimmick than anything, like were you at the time gonna let an unexperienced driver even have ANY key to your $70,000 1990 dollar Corvette?

Segway

Actually, I drove a Segway (2 wheel fun machine) and the guy had I believe 3 keys for it. Each was designed for different skill levels and controlled the speed.
