I remember you from the SSR Forum, correct me if I am wrong.....
I was just as anal about the SSR when I had it, just ask XSELER8, he will tell you
All kidding aside, I guess there really is no reason to have the emblems attached incorrectly, it just shouldn't happen. I mean after all I have to lean my head over when I look at the LF door, to view the SS emblem. I'll end up with a stiff neck, if I don't fix it.

[QUOTE=Jay Budget;255605]Thanks, Ive always had limited funds, and two or three cars, so research for me is very important. I do belive that you should know what your buying if its an SS or an econ car. Its just good to sit on the internet for a few weekends before you go lay down 20+ grand riiight?? I hate it more than anything when people buy a brand new car then complain about it? Just doesnt make much any sense to me? I know there is a diff between taking note and complaining, but it seems like there are some very un-happy SS owners out there, haha. Ive never had a brand new car, so maybe I dont know what Im talking about, haha. My HHR had about 6K on it when I got it, newer, but still not new!

Me get data on an Auto?.... Maybe some day hahaha... No really I drove an auto HHR SS before I dorve the 5-speed. I Honestly Belive the auto is quicker in a bone stock application. The four speed over the five speed in a boosted application in theroy would be a better idea. Less fun yes, but faster! More time under high boost to pull the car in prime rpm range. I dont know if there are real numbers out there yet, but Im sure people are going to be suprised when autos, start taking 5-speed on the track. Im not a big fan of the auto's, but those little bastards are peppy. The only autos I have ever owned have been 50+ years old, so I cant speak much about the newer stuff, seems like they will hold up just fine though... My stones are just fine, I know its all in good fun.
BTW You Have Best New Color SS =Quote]

thanks for posting your pics, your SS/SC looks good, you keep a clean machine. There are a few SS/SC's in my area, have not seen to many.
I know what you mean about people and new vehicles. I think there are alot of people who don't care about the technicial aspect of what they buy, no matter what vehicle it is. And that is ok, just hard for people like most of us on the forum to understand that, and they probably feel the same way about us.

I like your observation on the Auto, interesting comments that you made.
I am anxious to get into it more, which should happen this week. I'll be able to compile, hopefully some more useful info, like one of the other members is doing in his Auto Tranny thread.

Everyone really likes the color, and thanks for the complement. It does have a lot of metallic in the paint, and I like how under different lighting, it looks totally different. I have always been partial to Blue's, but if it was available in Yellow, like i said before, it would been Yellow

I was always a sucker for emblems in fact I was going to add them on the doors of the SSR if I had still kept it.

Clean Cars... Alright you found out what Im anal about. Clean carpets, no trash, no plug in things, no books, or binders, or papers, or any of that stuff. My grilfriend hates when I tell her to wipe her feet off before she gets in, even on the black carpet. Clean wheels and windows are my pet peev'. I hate smudged up windows, dang! Hahahaa, but I live in CA so its not horrible to keep a car clean, two weeks in between washes, that aint to bad, the black car stays in the garage, with my 53. They HHR stays in the drive way with the girls car.

XSELER8 is a good friend......He has one of my "Wolfie Wing" rear spoiler on his Black and Silver SSR. Being a little anal is good thing when it comes to our rides...... Wolfie

My "GM" badges along with the "HHR" badge now resides in the trash can. Now I'm debating on getting rid of the side "SS" badge as well and just leaving the "SS" badge on the back.

I removed my chicklets with a piece of dental floss and some now sore fingernails. Be careful and put a rag under the opposite edge your pulling on so it doesn't scratch the paint. I then removed the sticky tape by rubbing with my fingers, then a little Meguiars #3 Machine Glaze. You can't tell anything was ever there. And if you want you can always stick them back on, better have the torpedo level, laser level and a chalk line
