I have a 2007 LS and I got the same assembly as above. It fits and everything, but has anybody noticed the gap between the Chrome ring and the assembly. It's small and I can live with it, but I wonder if the assembly surrounding the area, which housed the Window Switch bezel and the chrome ring, are different sizes?
Thoughts?

I don't know for sure, but they moved the window switches from the console to the armrest in the new cars, maybe impacted size of bezel?

I installed mine and it didnt go smooth. For one thing, as mentioned before the mounting bolts arent fixed and they drop down. I wrestled with the 1st one for 20 minutes before deciding to change just the top piece (not happy here, $112 is a lot of freaking money for a shift boot, lol.) Wrestled with that -hard to pry those impossible to get at tabs loose. Got it apart, switched them out and notice immediately-

The chrome bezel's lock tabs dont reach far enough down to lock. Something's not right and the shifter feels alot tighter now going between park, etc. I'll have to tear into it again.

Wow mine went pretty smooth the tabs were a pita but i managed to get them off with out removing the whole assembly, my Chrome trim fits perfect im not sure what people mean by it not fitting right. Overall took me about 30 min to do.

Hey Ed, is that the complete unit as shown in the first few pictures? How many do you have in stock?

after re-assembly, the part of the shifter that sits in the console appears to be lower than it was before the mod. The rear 2 tabs do not lock. I looked and the white portion is sitting flush down on the shifter. I have no idea whats up.
