Thank-You for this group. I found so much information here that helped me to fix my daughter's 2006 HHR shifter and there was so much information! I felt that I needed to make an offering as well. I'm a visual learner and although so much information was helpful, the visuals weren't so friendly so I figured I would provide some photographs for others whom may need them. Not quite a tutorial, but definitely a learning aide to supplement those diagnostic manual diagrams and such. Cheers!

 

Welcome to the site! Thanks for the visually friendly photos! They also show on the drivers side the PRNDIL light where that white and black wire plugs into the shifter assembly body!
And the positions of the plungers in different selector positions !
