Google, here I come!
My bad, it's at CED.
Rpd Pigtail Pt276 15306407

The part number is there. I would talk to them or otherwise do your homework. Amazon and Summit sell that part also. Not sure which side of the connector this is.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I have the RPD already. It is connected however they do it at the factory. It works great, but much like the OP, I leave it on Speedo setting most of the time. Plus, I don't like that the boost gauge doesn't show vacuum in the RPD. I want to see it all, boost and vacuum.

I am talking about the piece that connects to the connector in the A Pillar as I am adding that in and am looking at gauges to put in there.
Big shortage of factory ones, from what I am seeing so far.

Oops! No you were clear, I must have been multi-tasking.

I am taking a wild guess that the data from the ECU to the gauges is digital, meaning it should not matter if the gauge face is digital or analog there is some circuitry in the gauge.

Right. I don't like digital, I like analog display.
It's not about digital vs. analog though, it is about electrical vs. mechanical.

I have only recently learned that the HHR is already wired for an electrical gauge, so we don't need to tap into a vacuum hose like you do with a mechanical gauge.
I am just trying to not have to splice wires more than I have to. Trying to find the connector that the stock gauge has that plugs into the one at the base of the pillar.

I guess I could use an actual stock one (although they seem to be few and far between) but I kind of wanted a nice RED one!

That is what I mean. There is no direct vacuum/boost sensor, the data is used by the computer to output a digital signal via the data lines that is interpreted by the gauge.

I am guessing that any gauge you might purchase would be able to decipher the code and display it.

I am making this guess because the RPD gets its information from the same place.

I don't think the gauge is an old fashioned volt meter type, it is digital. Meaning the signal is pulses not a variable voltage.

Doesn't the 'Balt have a 20psi gauge?

HELP!

I got my gauge from HHRSS330 (thanks again!) and mounted it in the pillar and went to install and came upon a little snag.
Both the connector that comes from the gauge and the connector coming up out of the A pillar area are identical.
Each has 4 vertical male posts and 4 horizontal female slots and they do NOT plug into each other.

There is so little slack on the cables coming from the car that hard-wiring it would be a major pain.

Anyone have any ideas? Am I just missing a "male to male" adapter or something?

Could go to a GM dealer parts department and get the female side.

I'm having a hard time finding the connector, but post time is in 50 minutes. Is there a number on either one?
