I love my radio controls on the steering wheel! They are very handy.
We have the six disc/XP/sub woofer premium package and it sounds OK. It is nice for an OEM system. I really like the head unit and want to beef up the amps/speakers.
An after market installer told me the best way is to interface the head with a constant impedance unit and then off to the crossovers and amps. This would negate the use of both our volume controls . This is not going to happen. The volume controls on the steering wheel are too important to negate. Heck this whole thread shows that!
I will upgrade the amps and speakers in the traditional manner and not use this device.

I posted the pictures in the other HHR's album here so that we would have them just in case they disappeared from the post.

Does this require any programing or anything I will need a service tech for?

According to steiny's post #6, no programming is necessary.

Ordered mine on 5/16 from GM Parts Direct. Two said special order and one, backorder. Anyone receive anything yet or did Steiny get the only parts available in the country?

Wanna hear a really big story. I called a dealership in town and they quoted me twice the price ($75++++) and want $250 to install. Geez, what's up with that? Seems like everyone wants to rip people off.

BTW..it's John Elway Autonation. I'm sure he wouldn't be any to pleased to hear that.
