Thanks in advance for any help would this thread help me to fix this issue. It shows to replace the cam shaft actuator. But in the thread it doesn't say anything about "bank 1" is this the same thing? Just for more info my car when it comes to stop my car jumps. You can ignore the Bank 1 reference - the P0010 points to the intake side - so just replace the intake side's solenoid, and all should be good. :)

Being the HHR has only an in-line 4 cyl, we only have Bank 1. A v-8 has both bank 1 and 2, as does an opposed 4 like a VW Beatle, or a Subaru.

Probably not, but maybe.

Does your "check engine" light come on? If it does go to your local Autozone/Advance/O'Reilly and have the OBDII codes read.

If you don't have the CEL lit up, then you will need to go to a mechanic or supply more information.

 

If you are referring to the transmission shifting hard and the P0010 code you mentioned in your prior post here - YES!

Well, what do you mean by the car jumping? If you mean it jerks hard when coming to a stop, or when putting it in gear, and sometimes from gear to gear while driving, then the solenoid is definitely suspect (along with the P0010 code).

 

I guess yes it's from going from gear to gear as I'm slowing down to a stop. But it's very specific though when it's at a stop the rpm's go up and down causing the vehicle to feel like it's puttering not jumping sorry

 

Yeah, go ahead and replace that solenoid - the part number is listed in the first post I believe. I'd recommend a genuine GM part, not an aftermarket one from a parts store.

The P0010/11/13/14 are usually accompanied by what many refer to as "hard shifting" - all part of the computer controls.
