Just installed a complete new short and shortened shifter in my '08 2LT. It looks nothing like the SS shifter. I did not have any of the plastic parts shown. Nor did it come apart like that one. I was able to get to the point of making the car undriveable and had to have the dealer finish the install.

has anyone used the hurst quick/stick shifter p#530-391-4040 it says it is for an 05 cobot ? It does not look to have any plastic and might have a more positive feel to it .

I randomly stumbled across Shift Style on an Audi forum, saw they had the HHR and clicked the install guide and it led me right back here... small world... I think I'll order one now.

Do you have pics? I went with black suede with red leather and quad stitching. I am going to send my old one in to another boot company and get my free one. :) might sell it or just have two in case I want to switch things up.

Another version of the ShiftStyle boot, combined with the TWM Shifter.

C2 how much of a shift distance change is there with the twm shift? From what i read it wasnt much and i dont like the fact that it lowers the shifter. Is it worth it?

I believe it shortens the throw about 3/4" total (like 3-4 shift) on the SS (measured at the top of the ball). When combined with the solid mounts, and adjusted correctly the shifting is significantly improved over stock. Absolutely worth it in my opinion. Personally, I like it being lower.
