If you use the factory bolts they are self taping! We installed a rear seat with the belts and didn't purchase a tap .....

Many ways to solve that. Here was mine. 9 inch headrest monitors with game pack built in or can watch a DVD to entertain themselves. 7 inch headrest monitors to entertain the guy driving or stopped behind you at a red light.

Did you modify those rear door panels... combined with the lower pull portion from a window door?

Curious...I have the factory bolts... how can you tell if they are self-tapping? They don't look like the self tapping sheet metal screws I've seen.

Why would GM tap the hole for the retractor and not the other four mounting holes? Hmmmmmm

I used the factory bolts and didn't have to tap anything. It was a simple bolt-in for the seat and all three seatbelt pairs. I don't know if any of them were self-tapping or not; they just worked.
