Hmmmm, one of my cordless phones has been having this problem even after cleaning the contacts and carbons, may try it there also.

both mine started to have issues with the lock button, I resoldiered the battery treminals and cleaned the keypad, and they both are working normal again, easy fix, and that was a year ago so it seems to be a long term fix!

My original is still working, but I have 4 in the drawer I bought here on the forum, after programing them, I'm into it 50.00, and I'll never have to open one.

You forgot the darn lights I haven't finished, I just didn't want to do the surgery thing on the fobs .

This really is a simple fix. I took a 1 inch square of aluminum foil and placed a hole drawing template over it and cut out 5/32 pieces with a new Xacto blade. Then placed a drop(really small)of CA on the carbon, then placed the newly cut piece of foil on it. Let sit for a few minutes for the CA to cure and reassemble.
Wroks fantastic, light easy key presses now.
