2007 HHR equipped with massive cold air RAM intake

MADE YOU LOOK!

GF got this. I'm stuck working on it. Has leather and heated seats.

so far:
replaced turn signal switch
deleted rear window switches using 09-11 block off plate (*$^%!#@ kid)
repaired drivers inner door handle (Not broken, cable loose!)
correctly aimed bent headlight buckets (removed bumper)
welded and repaired exhaust
replaced drivers door check link (used j/y passenger part)
installed 09+ shift boot and center console
Timing tensioner verified replaced
repaired rear drum brakes
filled several holes with some j/y plugs that were not filled...

planning 09+ dome light addition
planning on new Dorman timing bolt
needs control arm bushing
may mod fog light switch with hazard switch parts, It needs fog light mounts though...
need to remove window deflector adhesive. I have a set of tuck in window style for next spring.
Injector research project in progress, due to bad 06-07 injectors

replaced beat 17 alloys with steelies with old school style trim rings and center caps.
sorry, OEM 17s were scratched, I went to 16 steel. ^&%^&**%^& the potholes!

I should mention the new on car when bought Chinese tires (BLACKLION?!?!) had very poor traction on dry pavement, none on wet, air-hockey puck ride on snow.

New BF GOODRICH tires ride like glue!!!

Horn SUCKS. she gets 4 tone Cadillac horns in the spring!

Welcome to the site, that will keep you busy. Check to see if the front timing chain guide is not broken before you install the Dorman replacement bolt, and are you sure that new timing chain tensioner fully deployed, did you remove that valve cover to manually deploy it?

thank you.

Timing tension was done prior. If it had not been done, I would be doing it with valve cover removed. Unfortunately many tutorials tell you to do it the wrong way and gamble that the lack of tension doesn't cause the chain to jump time. I suppose if you had a engine pre-oiler and hooked it up to pressurize the new tensioner before starting that method would have a chance.

I would love a digital copy of the factory service manual... hard to blueprint and properly torque without that in front of you.
