Hello

I recently bought a crashed '08 2Lt to repair and drive the snot outta. I have a K1500 that gets 14mpg and I'm tired of lining the pockets of big oil and foreign country's dictators.

I will be looking for experiences with performance chips for better performance but not to sacrifice economy. Hoping I can get a little more of both. I like the Airraid CAI but the completely enclosed K&N may be better, not relying on a seal to the hood. Any insight on those will be appreciated.

My first step is to get it to the frame shop where I work and get it straightened out and painted... The main reason I bought THIS particular car is because it's pretty well loaded and has the anti-lock brakes. My son will be 16 soon and I felt it was a feature I would like him to have when he drives it. I have an SS spoiler that will be painted with the car and installed right away. I never seem to get around to adding the extras I want later.

Thanks for the welcome. For some reason I'm not getting email notifications of replys to this post. I'll have to look into that.

I got the damage repaired and the car is at the paint shop. Looks like it's gonna take a while longer than I anticipated to get it painted...

Few pics of the repair...
